چکیده
Objectives: The purpose of this work was to assess the clinical and imaging outcomes modified Stoppa technique for surgical management acetabular fractures. Methods: Between September 2019 November 2021, twenty-one individuals (mean age 39.09 years; range 18–64) who received therapy fractures with participated in research. average follow-up period 12.95 months, a 6 24. data were examined perioperative difficulties, loss blood, effectiveness reductions, patterns, time surgery operation time. There three levels reduction quality: poor, imperfect, anatomic. functional assessment done using Merle d' Aubigne score. Results: Among 21 acetabulum fractures, 10 associated both columns, 5 anterior column, 3 T-type 2 transverse one case column/posterior hemitransverse. Incisions along pfannenstiel utilized 9 patients vertical midline incisions other twelve. In 18 (85%) individuals, supplementary lateral windows employed, an duration until 7.8 days. typical blood during 780 mL, procedure took 239 minutes. 14 (66.6%), (25.8%), 1 (5%) acetabulum, respectively, radiological results anatomic, satisfactory, poor. According D’Aubigne scores, fifteen out (71.4%) regained their pre-injury activity level. Seven participants excellent while eight good. Four fair two result significantly affected by occupation lag. All seen be united radiographically six months after surgery. No cases redisplacement detected. no instances delayed union or nonunion existed. Heterotopic ossification observed. Matta scoring, seven (33.33%), nine good (42.8%) (9.5%) poor (14.2%).On studying complications, we had vascular sciatic nerve injury five paresthesia cutaneous nerve. Five developed postoperative infection. Only them results. Conclusion: Despite being technically demanding, research demonstrate that Rives-Stoppa technique, when used treating usually satisfactory reduction. Additionally, it provides outstanding accessibility visibility posterior quadrilateral surface, corona mortis. This method avoids need inguinal canal femoral neurovascular bundle dissection repair

Modified Stoppa Approach for Surgical Treatment of Acetabular Fracture
BACKGROUND We analyzed the extent of the comminution in the acetabular weight-bearing area, the clinical and radiographic results, and the complications after a minimum 2-year follow-up of the modified Stoppa approach for the treatment of acetabular fractures, and we attempted to evaluate the efficacy of the operative technique. METHODS All of the 22 patients, who needed the anterior approach...
متن کاملThe modified Stoppa approach for acetabular fracture.
Judet et al and Letournel and Judet laid the groundwork for the current understanding and management of acetabular fractures. They developed a classification system and novel surgical approaches that still serve as the standard of care. Modifications of these approaches (eg, ilioinguinal, Kocher-Langenbeck) have been developed to improve surgical outcomes. The Stoppa approach is used in the rep...
متن کاملA Modified Stoppa (Technique) Approach for Treatment of Pediatric Acetabular Fractures
Pediatric acetabular fractures are rare, and anterior column fractures are even rarer. Generally, conservative treatment is applied. If there is displacement of more than 2 mm or findings of instability or fragments within the joint, then surgical treatment is applied. Anterior and posterior approaches may be used in surgical treatment. With pediatric patients, even greater care should be taken...
متن کاملSurgical Treatment of Displaced Acetabular Fractures Using a Modified Stoppa Approach.
A retrospective evaluation was performed of 36 patients (25 males and 11 females; average age, 44 years) with displaced acetabular fractures who were treated with a modified Stoppa approach. Fractures included 18 anterior columns, 2 both columns, 8 anterior columns with posterior hemitransverse, 6 transverse, and 2 T-type, according to the Judet and Letournel classification. Range of motion, Ha...
متن کاملmodified stoppa approach versus ilioinguinal approach for anterior acetabular fractures; a systematic review and meta-analysis
introduction: modified stoppa approach was introduced as an alternative to ilioinguinal approach for management of anterior fractures of acetabulum in order to reduce complications of the latter. however, the efficacy of either approach over other is not well established. the aim of this meta-analysis is to compare the efficacy of modified stoppa and ilioinguinal approach in the management of a...
